ランブリング・レコーズ様からのご依頼で、
『ヴァレリアン 千の惑星の救世主』(17)サントラ盤のライナーノーツを書かせて頂きました。
サントラ盤はCD２枚組仕様で、
ディスク１にアレクサンドル・デスプラのオリジナル・スコアを23曲、
ディスク２に映画本編で使用された歌モノを９曲（うち１曲はミックス違い）を収録しています。
既に当方のブログでディスク１もディスク２も紹介済みなのですが、
サントラの宣伝も兼ねてもう少し何か書くことがあるだろうと思ったので、
エンディングテーマの歌詞をご紹介させて頂きます。
まずはアレクシアンの”A Million On My Soul”から。
ちなみに歌詞はラジオ・エディットではなくオリジナル・バージョンのものですのであしからず。

ワタクシの拙い英語力を総動員して歌詞を読み解いてみると、
アレクシアンの”A Million On My Soul”の方は、
「大人になるには、独りにならなきゃいけない時がある」といった内容を歌っているのではないかと。
一方、デルヴィーニュの”I Feel Everything”はもっと直球なラヴソングという感じかな、と。
あなたに見つめられると凍りついてしまう
でもここに留まることは出来ない
あなたの瞳はどんな薬よりも効き目がある
あなたは私を狂わせる
今、私はこれまで以上に全てを感じる

アレクシアンとデルヴィーニュで対照的な内容を歌っていて、
なかなか面白いのではないかと。
…というわけで、うら若い女子のラブソングと新旧の歌モノ、
アレクサンドル・デスプラの絶品フルオケスコアがまとめて楽しめる、
『ヴァレリアン』のサントラ盤を引き続きよろしくお願い致します。
（「ええ～？」とか言われそうですが、ワタクシは『ガーディアンズ・オブ・ギャラクシー』より『ヴァレリアン』の方が好みです）
